Award winning booth

Orono – The Penobscot County Conservation Association annual Sportsmens Show has come and gone.  Attendance was light on Friday evening, due to the UM Black Bear hockey team playing in a weekend playoff series at the Alfond,  However, Saturday certainly made up for it.  The crowd was incredible, many visitors stopped by the Annika Rod and Fly booth to watch members of the Vise Squad lashing feathers, fur and foam to hooks creating masterpieces that will hopefully entice those unsuspecting fish to take a big bite in a few short weeks.

A pleasant surprise came mid-day when the PCCA  presented our booth the coveted “Most Active Exhibitor” award for 2012!  Those busy little hands paid off!

It was great to see so many friends, both old and new at the show this year.   An old friend from my EMVTI days dropped by and chatted.  I hadn’t seen Scott since the late 70’s.

There are so many great exhibitors at the show, wonderful people.  If you didn’t get a chance to make the show this year, mark it on the calendar for next year, you won’t be sorry.
